ORLANDO,Fla.- "Cancer touches everybody," said David Nixon of Sydney, Australia and director of "Letters To God."
"Letters To God" is an inspirational film based on a true story about a 9-year-old boy Tyler Doherty who died from brain cancer, the story was written by his father from Nashville, Tennessee.
The film was created as a memorial to remember Tyler, and to touch the lives of families who may be struggling with a relative that has cancer.
In the movie Tyler sees how his struggle with brain cancer is effecting his family members. Tyler has created his own personal relationship with God and writes his prayers in letters. Throughout the movie you will see the characters transition based off Tyler's letters.
"Letters To God" is a film that Nixon has directed and produced. Scheduled to release April 9, 2010 in at least 150 theaters across the nation.
Nixon is owner of Possibility Pictures Productions based here in Orlando. There goal is to create faith-based movies and market them to local churches and to reach out to other Christians. They also aim to only put money into movies with meaning.
"To Write Love On Her Arms" is the next movie to be released by Possibility Pictures and is being filmed here in Orlando next June and July of 2010.
